New Zealand CurriculumSt Mary's School provides learning programmes which meet the requirements of the New Zealand Curriculum Framework while integrating the Catholic perspective. Curriculum areas are:
Year 7 and 8 students attend weekly lessons off site in Food Technology, Woodwork and Plastics, Biotechnology, Electronics and Art Special CharacterSt Mary's is a Catholic School where the traditions and practices of the Catholic Church are learnt and experienced. The Gospel values of Jesus Christ, including love, compassion and forgiveness contribute to a school community who cares about the family, about New Zealand society and about the world. Mary, the Mother of God, is our Patron Saint. Information and Communication TechnologyEach classroom is equipped with computers. In addition the children have access to Mac ibooks, digital and video cameras and data projectors. Skills and knowledge are taught in context and support of the classroom programme. |
